I have voted for "don´t know" because it is very different. If i build in this animated trees only one ore two at the same place on the route and no other animated content will be build in there, then it will work. But the tested tree looks very good and when i build in many trees on the same place and drive with a train along this trees, it could be broke the performance, i think.

DonZer, Testing of influence of animated trees for productivity still is necessary. But the big falling of productivity should not be, as animation very short - 10 - 15 shots. The tree model will be finished, but is insignificant. The quantity of ranges will grow in 2,3 times, but considering that the tree, is two planes special falling of productivity will not be. The texture remains without changes.
The basic problem, now, is absence of enough of textures, for start of animated trees in a series.
